House of Love

I live in a house of love

Tonight I sit down to write…

Nothing.

Empty.

My soul is not burdened

No shackles to release.

My heart is full, satisfied.

No yearning,

No fear.

Content.

My most heartfelt poem,

Can not descend to words.

Eventually I will only write one word.

Love.

The refiner’s fire continues to concentrate, purify.

My joy exceeds words,

My love for you transcends this plane.

And so I finally distill my heart’s message.

“Dear God,

Thank you for this day

Of life,

And love,

With this precious woman

My other half.”

Each day is sufficient

And I beg for more.

No, Love doesn't hide

Where does love come from? Was it always there, hiding?
